About the Artist

Born in a small town in Vermont, Ethan was raised on a small family farm. His mother a print maker and father a musician. in 1989 he moved to Austin, TX to pursue a career in art and music Having no formal training, Ethan is a self taught artist and musician. Ethan Azarian has resided in Austin for the last 30 years. His work is part of many private and commercial collections. Ethan is fiscally sponsored by Austin Creative Alliance and receives funding from the City of Austin's Cultural Arts Division for community based art projects. His most recent project took place in Spring, 2019 at Travis Heights Elementary School where he and the students designed and painted a series of murals on the exterior walls of the school. Currently a full-time painter and musician, Ethan and his wife Melissa founded the Blue Cow Studio and have curated and produced 40 exhibitions of established and emerging Austin artists. In addition, they exhibit and promote their own work during Austin's East Austin Studio Tour.
