About the Artist
Originally from Chicago, Matthew Langland earned an MFA from UT Austin in 2001. He lived in New York City for 14 years, and returned to Austin in 2016.

Matthew Langland's paintings combine Hairy Who attitudes, Pop sensibilities, and hard-edged abstraction's formal rigor with a fascination for twentieth century corporate logos and occult symbolism.
