Lalena Fisher makes sculpture, installation, painting, and performance in her fine art practice. She earned her MFA in painting and new forms at Pratt Institute in New York while assisting artist Matthew Barney in his studio. After her graduate work, Fisher designed for the kids' TV shows Blue's Clues and The Wonder Pets, and served as an information-graphics editor at The New York Times, while composing and performing music locally and regionally. She returned to her native Texas in 2009 and works from her studio as a full-time fine artist, illustrator and graphic designer.
