I was born a painter but it took 40+ years to consciously realize it. My earliest influence was my maternal grandmother whose simple quilting would one day be a catalyst for exploring fiber arts. Ten years working with creative people in the architecture/interior design world and another ten plus years of exposure to New Mexico skies and art was inspiration waiting to happen. A collage exhibit in an Austin gallery in 2004 was the spark that ignited my artist/painter realization. For the past twelve years I have worked in mixed media, encaustic, fiber arts, photography and printmaking creating abstract art. I am a member of Women Made Gallery and a PrintAustin board member.
