I grew up 15 miles north of Milwaukee in the town of Mequon, Wisconsin, an old mid-western farming community transformed into a suburb during the early 1950's. It was there, that I acquired a deep fascination and connection with nature, due to the surrounding meadows and woodlands. In 1991, I moved to Austin, Texas to attend graduate school. I never left, and have now been creating and teaching art for over 30 years. My work is in private collections, and I have been included in numerous invitational and juried shows throughout the United States. I have also received various honors, awards and grants.
