About the Artist

Amy Bench is a Texas-based filmmaker and visual artist. She has been a member of the Austin-based artist collective and gallery ICOSA since 2018, an organization that that fosters collaboration and community amongst contemporary artists and their audiences. Trained as a cinematographer, her work is primarily about the persona of space: how the interplay of light, texture, and objects in an inhabited or vacated space reflects meaning and character. Her work as a cinematographer has appeared in festivals around the world, including Berlin, Sundance, and SXSW, and have won an Emmy award and 2 Webby awards.
