Austin based multidisciplinary artist & independent curator Michael Anthony García's practice focuses on photography, sculpture, installation & performance work. He is a founding member of Los Outsiders curatorial collective & has curated large-scale exhibitions of international artists, in and out of the US, participated in the 2011 Texas Biennial and has won awards both for his curatorial and 3D work. García has premiered work at The Experimental Action International Performance Art Biennale in Houston, Laguna Gloria in Austin, Texas, The Blanton Museum of Art, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art in Salt Lake City, Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico, Threewalls and the Wabash Arts Corridor in Chicago and was part of an ArtPlace Grant-funded creative placemaking project with Los Outsiders for Drawing Lines.
