About the Artist

Tammy Brown is a Central Texas artist inspired by landscapes and the birds. She works primarily in oils with an approach that ranges from impressionistic to abstract. She graduated from UT Austin with a BA in English, completed two more years of art, design, and art history studies, and has a Master's degree in social work. She has studied painting and drawing with many artists and teachers in Austin, the US, and internationally. Her work can be seen in galleries and businesses around Central Texas, and in private collections in the US.As a psychotherapist practicing in Austin and Bastrop, Tammy incorporates nature and creativity into work with depression, anxiety, and grief. Her hobbies include birding, photography, observing nature and writing. She shares her paintings and photography and writes about life and the natural world at lostpineslife.com
