My paintings create a visual resonance and vibration through the interaction of contrasting vivid colors and the multiple outlining of shapes. I create a slightly dimensional look to the paintings by layers chalky gouache with a more glossy textured acrylic ink. The combination of these two techniques results in a brightly luminous image that has been compared to stained glass. I am fascinated by the happy accidents that occur in the magical space between original intention and final result.
