Driven by the desire to uncover mysteries of time, space, and truth through the storytelling and mythmaking, Jesse Gengenbach draws from the expressive potential of landscape, create narrative paintings. Based in Austin, Texas, she works primarily in oil paint and watercolor. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a BFA in printmaking. She has had a solo show at the Mckinley Arts and Cultural Center in Reno, Nevada, and in group shows in a number of galleries, including the Brick Haus Collective in Denton, Texas, the Beyond Printmaking Symposium in Lubbock, Texas, and the Bathhouse Cultural Center in Dallas, Texas. This past year she has exhibited at the Georgetown Art Center.
