Carianne Schulte was born in El Paso, Texas. She grew up surrounded by the desert, frequent trips across the border to New Mexico and Mexico, and with parents that fueled her curiosity and love of travel. The cultures of the world held people with different ways of life, beliefs and natural surroundings, and this sparked a desire to pursue a degree in anthropology where she immersed herself in studying the art, architecture, artifacts and people of disparate cultures.
After completing her degree, Carianne spent years working in the corporate world, all the while continuing her love for travel. It was during some time off from working that she sat down at a jewelers bench and knew that her life had to go in the direction of her newly found passion. Her work is a collaboration between her hands as they create and the cultures that have seeped into her being while just experiencing life. Carianne has spent the last 12 years working full time in and on her business, designing, creating, marketing, and selling her work at juried art shows in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.
Carianne's studio is in Austin, Texas.
